Glen Campbell Dies at 81
Legendary country singer Glen Campbell has died after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's. He was 81.
Campbell died Tuesday around 10am local time in a Nashville facility for Alzheimer's patients.
In 2011, Campbell revealed that he had been diagnosed with the disease and that it was at its early stages at the time.
During his 50-year career, he sold more than 45 million records, 12 gold albums and 75 chart hits. He had his own TV show the Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour, starred in True Grit with John Wayne and released more than 70 albums.
In June, his final studio album was released called Adios and was recorded between 2012 and 2013. It is a collection of songs that he had always loved but never recorded.
