Gidday Larry, This is fact. Even though it's raining here in Rockhampton, the wet weather (which is good) hasn't dampened the spirits of listening to the KIX HOT COUNTRY TOP 20.

KIX IS THE BEST DARN RADIO STATION IN THE WORLD. KIX ROCKS

I have been enjoying KIX for 2 years now (since I arrived in the Bundaberg) but I thought I would share the poor experiences I have had in finding country music in the other places I have lived. When I lived in Adelaide you could get country music on Sunday afternoons for 3 hours. In Melbourne the station was shared with 2 other broadcasters, so you got about a few weeks every so often. There was a fire in the studio while the country guys were broadcasting so they fought to get back on the air,and made it within just over a week. Then when the permanent broadcasting was finally granted, it was granted to a gay consortium (so no more country music).

Just wated to share my experiences in trying to listen to country with you.

I LISTEN TO THE COUNTDOWN EVERY SATURDAY AND LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF IT

Just can't get enough country.

I love that I dont need to buy annual flight tickets back home to Texas to hear the music they play in heaven. (that shit was getting expensive)

hi Larry, just a story i really wanted to share with you! Last week Started out not so good for me at work. Then who came into my work?... Adam Brand! He was so lovely! It made my day especially when he signed a piece of paper for me! He was organising things for the Monster truck Show in Maryborough on Saturday yet he still had time to stop and do that for me. then to top off my week, my Boss bought me tickets to go see the monster trucks and adam brands concert that night! It was awesome! I hope his new single goes really well on the chart cos' he's such a nice guy! thanks Shannan xoxox

Hi Guys, This isn't really a fun fact but I would like to comment on the way that Lee Kernaghan has been said to be not Australian after winning the 'Australian of the Year'. We are so quick to except Guy and Damien ( who were not Australian citizens when they won Australian Idol) as our Australian Idols but can not except Lee Kernaghan who grew up travelling Australia with his family. Even though he does wear Australian clothes, boots and hats, I think he does the most Australian thing there is and that is help out a mate when they need it. And don't our Aussie farmers need it. He has raised money and awareness of how tough our farmers lives are. We complain and bitch when the grass in our yards are dying. How would it be to watch your live stock dying in front of you and there is nothing you can do. All praise must go to Lee Kernaghan and other person who takes the time to help our farmers. After all there are the back bone of our country. I will enjoy Lee Kernaghan concert when he comes to our Harbour Festival in March and hope to have the chance to congratulate him. Thanks KIX.

I operate heavy machinery around lowood qld.I listen to Kix all day every day from 7am to 3pm. and on weekends in my shed while I build wooden toys for kids.Great stuff wouldn't have it any other way. Keep up the good country music Larry.

while at work I have kix on all the time, it gets me thru the day and I certainly enjoy the many brilliant artists whose music you play. Quite a revelation to listen to this radio station.

Hi Larry, I was wondering if you knew of any CD's ( country that is) that are good for excercising at home or walking you know the stuff real heart starters - I know that you can get all of that other thump thump thump stuff but I am not aware of any country music to excercise to? The new CD by Carrie Underwood would be good to excercise too, and also Rodney Atkins' one aswell, but look for a country rock or linedance collection they would work well. Larry I get plenty of excercise in my car though -listening to KIX ( I drive long distances for work)I jump up & down & jiggle what ever I can. Thank you & keep having fun.

have now progressed to a bigger portable radio so guess what!!! Kix gets through to whole house as I can pick it up well out on our verandah and the neighbours can listen too!

I like to listen to good country music all the time and the countdown that I listen to all the time, it's great.

Larry, we operate a small furniture business from home. Although we do find it increasingly diffficult to get any work done when we spend a quarter of the day adjusting the aeriel to get good reception and the other three quarters of the day listening to the best music in the world. We love what you do, keep it up. But we do think you owe us a CD for all the work you great music has stopped us from doing.

I absolutely love the countdown, I finish work at 12 on a saturday & i run to my car so i don't miss any! Then when i get home on goes my stereo which is ALWAYS locked in to KiX!

I was in NZ recently and my brother who now lives there said he missed all the Country Music from over here so I sent him the link to KIX and he is now listening on oline everyday and loves it and its great for me to as I can send him requests. Thank you for your great music!

Hey Larry, I love the station but the only problem is that I can't pick it up where I live, and my dial up internet is too slow to hear you on line. So to combat that problem, I just drive into town as often as I can so I can hear the best country in the world! Keep up the top tunes!

I love country. We can catch kix on the car radio right into our garage. Can't get reception in the house, radio, Clock radio,expensive stereo. NO GO. Husband hooked up an outside Ariel HUGe. NO Go. However have logged onto KIX via the internet. SUCCESS!! Gonna cost us a bit more (lots more) for internet. But it's worth it. Thanks. LONG LIVE KIX COUNTRY.

Hi Larry, Hows it going buddy. When I listen to the countdown I have a party on my own. Dancing with the broom and singing. I would hate to see anyone walk in on me. I would be horrorfied, but I enjoy listening every day even while I'm at work. We can hear KIX playing from one end of the building to the other. Greatest Country Music in the world but you already know that. Had to come to live in Australia to get this sort of music all day every day. Nothing like it in NZ.

What I like most is listening to kix's country is everything, because I work in the mines doing a 12 hour shift, kix country keeps me going,and up to date with all the latest hits, love kix country keep up the excelent job from all of us on the B crew pre-strip Peak Downs Mine.

Thanks for a great station. I can only listen when Iam at home on the net or in country Qld. When are coming to Brisbane to broadcast?

A: For now we haven't any signals available in Brisbane although we would love to be...we have however started broadcasting in the Brisbane Valley on 88fm both at Lowood and Toogoolawah.

Love the show listen in at Peak Downs mine makes the long night shift a bit more enjoyable when you can listen to the latest hits and all time country greats good on kix for bring it to the bush

Hi! Larry, just wondering if you are old enough to remember a radio program called "Ranch Club". This was our Saturday night entertainment when I was a young bloke in Richmond NWQ. The radio station was 4LG Longreach. As you can see by my address I now live on the coast but still keep it country. Answer: No, but my Dad remembers it.

Last night we were privileged to see Adam Harvey and Morgan Evans in Murgon as they came out to help raise money for the Rural Fire Brigade. Morgan is a lovely young man and we certainly wish him much success in the future. As for Adam - WOW what an entertainer and cute too!! We had never seen him live before, although we liked his music, however, we will certainly be taking the time to go and see him live again, he was just fantastic. He put on a great show in our country town and can come back anytime. Everyone had a great time and seeing as you know "everyone" we would be grateful if you could let him know a good time was had by all.Thanks.
