Country-pop artist Melanie Dyer releases the econd single and video clip from her debut album. The single “Save My Cents” has landed on digital streaming and download music platforms, while the video launched this morning on VEVO.
“Save My Cents” ranks among the most captivating songs represented on the new album. From the track’s glorious vocal harmonies to a chorus that’s an all-clapping, all-stomping call-and-response breakout, “Save My Cents” is pure, blissed-out pop perfection. It’s a tune that will resonate with fans of everyone from The Lumineers to Taylor Swift and beyond. The track was recorded by Michael Carpenter at Love Hz Studio in Sydney.
The video clip, produced by Jeremy Dylan, was shot in the streets and parks of Newtown in Sydney. The story behind the clip depicts a failing one-sided relationship, where the promise of “love ain’t gonna cost a thing” results in “my heart broke on you”. In the end refuge is sought in the company of good friends.
