For most people, it’s an honour to have something named after you… but we have a feeling this wasn’t exactly what Andrew Swift had in mind.
Oodies Cafe in Bundaberg is an institution for musicians travelling through central Queensland. If you’ve never been you have to visit. The coffee and food is outstanding, the service is like no other, and the eclectic decor is beautiful, but now they’ve stepped it up a notch.
Swift, the official ambassador for Dog on the Tuckerbox now adds a second badge of honour to his name. Swifty’s Sh*tter had its grand unveiling yesterday, when Swift stopped in to say hi to the gang.
“Well, I guess I can cross ‘have a toilet block named after me’ off the bucket list.”
Swift is something of a staple at Oodies Cafe, being the only artist to sell out the venue twice back to back, before returning for a third show, he is truly loved by the staff and all the locals. We’re sure it felt a little like getting the keys to the city… but with a cheeky twist.
Swift summed it up sweetly, “I’d sh*t in here.”
Currently on his Lucky Stars Tour, Swift is gearing up for a big release, of the album variety that is. His fourth studio album is set for release next week on October 17 with fans already having a sneak peek at some of the tracks on the album. Tracks like Hot Damn It’s Been a Minute, Nothing Better and Get Lost have all hit the mark with audiences, and no doubt the rest of the album will follow suit.
We’re sure the throne has never felt more glorious for Andrew Swift. Make sure you add this pit stop in on your next travels through central Queensland.
