Amy Sheppard is officially all in on country. After conquering the pop world with global success in the chart-topping sibling band Sheppard, the singer-songwriter is embracing her solo stride in full country force, today announcing her debut album Born To Be Country, releasing a brand-new single Country Country, and revealing her first-ever national headline tour.

Country Country is the biggest, boldest single of my country music career so far.” says Amy, the feel-good anthem that dropped today. “It’s the ultimate road trip banger - made to blast with the windows down and your heart wide open”

Co-written with brother George Sheppard and longtime collaborator Danielle Blakey, Country Country is both a sonic celebration and a thank-you note to the country community that’s embraced Amy since she first dipped a boot in the genre in 2022.

“It’s loud, proud, and unapologetically country,” she adds. “As I gear up to release my first full-length solo album, this song is a celebration of everything I love about the genre and the incredible community that’s embraced me since Nothing But Wild.”

That 2022 debut EP reached #1 on the ARIA Country Album Chart, and Born To Be Country builds on that momentum. Due out October 10th, the album will feature a string of previously released fan favourites including Overthinking, Small Town Rumours, Backfire, Thing For You, Mr. Mistake, and Blue and Pink Confetti

With every track written or co-written by Amy herself, the record blends modern country polish with her signature pop-savvy hooks, exploring themes of love, heartbreak, freedom and female strength.

To celebrate the album release, Amy is hitting the road this spring for her first-ever national headline tour, a three-show run backed by her full band, alongside key festival stops.

She’s also scored a CMT Video of the Year nomination at the Golden Guitars proving her genre pivot is anything but a side project.

Whether it’s on stage, on your playlist, or on the road with the windows down, Amy Sheppard’s country chapter is just getting started.
