January 12, 2026 11:57 am in by

Chet Faker has expanded his 2026 Australian tour, with promoters Frontier Touring adding extra dates to his local run today.

The critically acclaimed Australian singer-songwriter had already announced a run of shows taking place in Adelaide (A Day in the Gully Festival), Melbourne (live at the Riviera Beach Club), and Perth (live at the Ice Cream Factory), and today, Frontier Touring has revealed two special headline shows for Sydney and Brisbane.

The extra tour dates take place on Tuesday, 3 March, at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall, and on Wednesday, 4 March, at Sydney's Enmore Theatre.

Frontier Members can access pre-sale tickets on Thursday, 15 January, at 10 am local time, followed by the general sale on Monday, 19 January, at 12 pm local time. You can find more ticketing information on the Frontier Touring website.

Chet Faker is touring in support of his highly anticipated new album, A Love For Strangers, which will be released on Friday, 13 February, via BMG. Following his Australian dates, Faker will head to the US in April and May and has locked in European shows in July.

The follow-up to 2021’s Hotel Surrender, which emerged from a sense of personal reflection and rediscovery after the tenth anniversary of his debut full-length, Built On Glass, A Love For Strangers again captures the spirit of reinvention. The forthcoming album features on The Music’s mammoth Most Anticipated Australian Albums of 2026 list.

The 12-track LP finds Murphy ruminating on heartbreak and uncertainty on a grand scale, asking questions of humanity – how we relate to each other and what happens when we don’t – and finding hope in repairing relationships. So far, he’s released the singles Far Side Of The Moon and This Time For Real.

You can pre-order/pre-save A Love For Strangers here.
