Australian country-pop singer Claudia Tripp has shared some wonderful news with fans: she and her partner, Sophie du Rose, have gotten engaged.
The Rodeo singer revealed the news on Instagram yesterday (23 April), sharing a string of photos with the caption, “Life update - suddenly I’m left-handed.”
In the photos, the happy couple are seen kissing on a beach, holding their hands in the air and showing their matching rings, engagement trinkets, and embracing while on the beach.

Love has been on Tripp’s mind of late. In October, she dropped the single My Ex (But Not Really). Produced by MSquared’s Michael DeLorenzis and Michael Paynter, the song finds Tripp offering a fresh take on lost love, effortlessly capturing the feeling of watching someone you never officially dated move on with someone else.
The track is packed with catchy hooks and irresistible energy, plus Tripp’s clever lyrics and distinctive vocals. She said of the track, “I wrote My Ex (But Not Really) as a fresh take on ‘the one that got away.’
“It captures that bittersweet feeling of watching someone you never officially dated move on. It’s a blend of jealousy, frustration, and sadness all wrapped up in an upbeat country-pop song that you can blast in the car when you’re stuck in your feelings.”
In addition to recent performances at BIGSOUND and Bunbury’s Froth Craft Bunbrewery, the rising star has supported Andrew Farriss, Casey Barnes, and Thirsty Merc on their recent tours before gradually performing to larger crowds and presenting her brand of country-pop music to audiences across Australia.
In February, Tripp was named Female Artist of the Year at the West Australian Country Music Awards, and she performed at this year’s Tamworth Country Music Festival in January.
