Country music had a solid showing at the 2026 Grammy Awards, with artists earning nominations and taking home trophies across several major categories at the ceremony in Los Angeles. This year also saw the Recording Academy introduce new country-focused awards, including Best Traditional Country Album alongside the renamed Best Contemporary Country Album to better reflect the genre’s diversity.
One of the biggest stories was Jelly Roll who walked away with his first three Grammy wins for Best Contemporary Country Album for Beautifully Broken, Best Country Duo/Group Performance for Amen with Shaboozey, and his feature on Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for Hard Fought Hallelujah with Brandon Lake.
Zach Top also scored his first Grammy win for Ain’t in It for My Health in the Best Traditional Country Album category.
Meanwhile, Chris Stapleton won Best Country Solo Performance for Bad as I Used to Be adding another Grammy to his already impressive career.
Tyler Childers also had a big night winning Best Country Song for Bitin’ List continuing his strong run in the genre.
The 2026 Grammys showcased country music’s depth with new categories, standout wins and big-name artists earning nods, even if not all could attend in person.
