Good Charlotte kicked off their hotly anticipated Australian tour at Perth’s RAC Arena last night (17 February).
Bringing their latest album, Motel Du Cap, to our shores, the band also performed a series of hits for their first Australian show in eight years. Following sets by special guests Kisschasy and Yellowcard, the American rockers – who have consistently written pop-punk anthems for underdogs, dreamers, and outsiders – took to the stage for a 23-song set.
While Joel and Benji Madden and co. are currently promoting a new album, fans still enjoyed an evening stacked with hits from throughout their discography. In addition to showcasing classics from The Young And The Hopeless, Good Morning Revival, and The Chronicles Of Life And Death, the band played new tracks Rejects, Bodies, and Mean.
From beloved tracks such as Dance Floor Anthem and Like It’s Her Birthday to I Just Wanna Live, Lifestyles Of The Rich & Famous, and The Anthem, Good Charlotte presented just the right amount of nostalgia on the first night of their 2026 Australian tour. Following last night’s Perth show, Good Charlotte continue their tour at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Thursday, 19 February, Bendigo Racecourse on Saturday, 21 February, and conclude at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Wednesday, 25 February. The band will then head to New Zealand for a show at Auckland Domain on Friday, 27 February.

“Australia is such a special place to Good Charlotte and to me personally,” Joel Madden said alongside the announcement of these shows in October.
“It feels like a home away from home in many ways, and we can’t wait to head back there for some big shows. It’s been far too long since we’ve spent time with our Aussie fans; we’re all in for a big treat.”
