After a string of standout releases and a breakout journey that’s taken them from outback Queensland to the heart of Nashville, sibling country-pop act Homegrown Trio are back and they’re lifting the bar once again.

Their latest single, Hold Off Heaven, is out today and offers a stirring first taste of the band’s forthcoming sophomore EP. A sweeping blend of aching sincerity and cinematic production, the track captures a band hitting a new creative stride.

“This song came from a real place,” says vocalist Katelyn O’Donoghue. “It’s about those moments where time slows down and you just want to freeze it, whether it’s falling in love, saying goodbye, or holding on to someone you’re scared to lose.”

Built on their signature "blood harmonies" and anchored by emotional depth, Hold Off Heaven marks an evolution for the trio, Katelyn, Liam, and Kasey O’Donoghue as they embrace a more expansive sound. The track was co-written in Nashville with hitmakers Ben Stennis and Brad Rempel, and produced by an all-star team: Nathan Chapman (Taylor Swift), Dann Huff (Keith Urban) and Joy Williams (The Civil Wars).

Raised on a million-acre cattle station in remote Far North Queensland before relocating to Charters Towers, the trio cut their teeth on the rodeo circuit and country airwaves before winning hearts on The Voice Australia in 2018. Their viral cover of Fast Car earned over a million views and praise from the show’s superstar coaches.

Since making the move to Nashville in 2021, Homegrown Trio have opened for the Jonas Brothers on their Remember This US tour, shared the stage with Kelsea Ballerini, and signed a global publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music Nashville. Their 2024 debut single Heartbreaker soared to #7 on the CountryTown Hot 50 Airplay Chart.

Hold Off Heaven is more than just a new single, it’s a defining statement from a band stepping fully into their own. Poised to perform at Deni Ute Muster alongside Zac Brown Band, Kasey Chambers and Jackson Dean, Homegrown Trio are gearing up for their biggest chapter yet.

Emotional, electric, and undeniably defining, this is Homegrown Trio like you’ve never heard them before.
