Just in, Melbourne country-rock heavyweights Kingswood have been announced as the special guests across all Australian dates for Counting Crows The Complete Sweets! Tour. For a band that’s built a reputation as one of the country’s hardest-working live acts, it’s a fitting pairing in our opinion.
Kingswood who over the last ten years have released six studio albums and played a record-breaking 100+ dates on their Hometowns Tour, know exactly how to warm up a theatre, or more accurately, tear the roof off it.
The band have carved out a lane that blends good-times country tunes with classic rock ‘n’ roll grit. Their latest album HOME saw them claim #1 on the ARIA Australian Country Chart, where it stayed for eight consecutive weeks.
Joining Counting Crows on a run that spans Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne, Kingswood step into a tour built around decades of hits from Mr Jones and Round Here to Big Yellow Taxi and Accidentally in Love, alongside new material from Counting Crows’ latest release, Butter Miracle: The Complete Sweets!.
Across the ditch, acclaimed Auckland singer-songwriter MACEY will join for the New Zealand shows, but for Australian fans, this is very much a homegrown double bill worth circling on the calendar.
