Lainey Wilson is a nine time CMA Award winner and will be returning to the CMA Awards stage as the host when the 59th annual CMA Awards roll out live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, November 19.
Wilson, who’s tied for the most nominations this year alongside Ella Langley and Megan Moroney, will guide what promises to be another star-studded evening as the industry honors its biggest names and moments.
“I grew up watching the CMA Awards like it was the Super Bowl, so to be hosting for a second year is a true honor,” she says. “I’m humbled that CMA has trusted me with this role, and I can’t wait to love on this genre that has given me so much.”
At the 59th Awards, Wilson is nominated for Single of the Year, and Song of the Year for 4x4xU, Album of the Year for Whirlwind, Music Video of the Year for Somewhere Over Laredo, Female Vocalist of the Year and the pinnacle award of the night Entertainer of the Year.
The voting process behind the CMA Awards is no small thing either, over 7,000 professional members of the Country Music Association spanning every corner of the industry cast ballots to determine nominees and winners..
Performers and presenters are still to be announced but if we know anything from previous years, it’s that the CMA will pull out all the stops for Country Music Night of Nights.
