If you haven’t seen your city in Lee Keraghan’s original tour lineup yet, never fear; the national treasure has added a further stack of shows to his expanding Boys From the Bush - The Concert Australia tour.
The country singer has been slowly releasing new dates since the announcement of his Boys From The Bush tour in late 2023 while simultaneously having begun the tour through cities Tamworth, Adelaide, and Burswood. If the She’s My Ute singer wasn’t already busy enough, he also wowed crowds at The Country-Fest, Melbourne Muster, and Lighthouse festivals.
Lee told Countrytown about his initial dates in December 2023, with shows across South Australia and Western Australia.
This time around, he’s gifted New South Wales and Queensland with new shows. These extra shows will be taking place across Evan Theatre, Penrith Panthers Club on 31 October, Twin Towns Services Club, Tweed Heads on 8 November, and The Events Centre, Caloundra on 9ths November.
Along with these dates, the singer has also been tapped to play the hyped Savannah in The Round in the Cairns Hinterland for October, playing alongside America’s Tyler Hubbard and Australia’s own The Living End and Hoodoo Gurus.
If Kernaghan’s schedule wasn’t already busy enough, the country star has also been busy writing and recording new material for his latest album.
“It feels fantastic to be back in the studio, and I’m really excited to be playing some of the new songs for the first time on the national tour. There’s been a lot of water under the bridge since the last record, and country music just seems to be getting better and more popular each year.”
In the lead-up to the new album, Kernaghan will release the first single on 5 July, featuring rising star and fellow Savannah in The Round act James Johnston.
There’s a terrific story behind the song I’ve recorded with James, and it goes to the heart of who we are and what we do. People who’ve heard the track have told me they get goosebumps listening to it, and even though I’ve heard it a lot of times, it affects me in the same way,” Kernaghan said.
