Exciting news for Aussie country fans: Victoria’s very own Lewis Love has been confirmed as the new support act for the sold-out Zac Brown Band headline tour across Australia this October. Originally, Irish singer Aaron Rowe was scheduled to open the shows, but plans have shifted and now it’s Love’s spotlight moment.

It’s a massive break for the 19-year-old, whose understated blend of folk-country and modern pop has already turned heads. He broke onto the scene with his debut single Can’t See the Sky, racking up over 400,000 streams and landing a spot on Spotify’s Heaps Country playlist.

Drawing comparisons to heavy-hitters like Zach Bryan, Cameron Whitcomb and even Morgan Wallen, Love delivers raw storytelling wrapped in a soulful, raspy voice well beyond his years.

The opportunity to support Zac Brown Band is more than just a support slot, it’s a clear sign of Love’s rising momentum. The band will hit iconic venues: Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne (Oct 6), Hordern Pavilion in Sydney (Oct 7), and Riverstage in Brisbane (Oct 9), plus festival sets at Deni Ute Muster and Savannah in the Round.

Love’s debut album Lovesick dropped in July and is already lighting up streaming platforms. With standout tracks like Can’t See the Sky, the record has cemented his status as one of Australia’s most promising new voices.

2025 is shaping up as Love’s breakout year with festival appearances at Ridin’ Hearts, Spilt Milk, and a support slot for Waylon Wyatt in Brisbane, landing a spot on the Zac Brown Band tour is the cherry on top. With Lovesick still fresh in listeners’ ears, these shows are the perfect platform for Love to step beyond the country scene and connect with an even wider audience.

We spoke with Love a few months back and he told Countrytown he was “hoping for a big year.”

“I want to tour more, get my reps in, and just keep building the name. I want people to connect with the music, that’s what it’s all about. If it makes someone feel something, happy, sad, whatever, that’s the goal.” Safe to say, Love’s kicking goals.

Australian country music has always welcomed fresh voices and Lewis Love’s is one that deserves your full attention. Come October, it won’t just be Zac Brown Band commanding the stage, it’ll be one of our own taking flight.
