Australian country singer songwriter Lucie Tiger has taken home Country Vocalist of the Year at the 11th annual Josie Music Awards, held at the legendary Grand Ole Opry in Nashville on November 2, 2025.
The milestone win marks a major moment in Tiger’s fast rising career in the states, as she stepped into the historic Opry circle to accept her award. Nominated for two categories, Artist of the Year (Modern Country) and Country Vocalist of the Year.
The Josie Music Awards have been celebrating independent music since 2015, spotlighting artists, songwriters, and musicians across all genres. Each year, a panel of musicians and industry professionals selects winners who represent excellence in artistry and originality.
Tiger’s current single, Harvest Moon is climbing the MusicRow Country Breakout Chart. It follows a string of chart successes, with now a total of seven self-penned singles making the MusicRow chart. Among her most notable are Found My Home (#50, 2021) and Everybody Knows Your Name (#53, 2025).
It’s been a massive year for Tiger, who earlier in 2025 she became the only country artist to receive an APRA AMCOS Women in Music Award.
Based in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, since late 2023, Tiger has been making her mark in the heartland of American music. She’s shared the stage with Grammy winners Jimbo Hart and Gary Nichols, been a part of the iconic Whiskey Jam in Nashville and opened for acts like Tyler Farr.
Lucie Tiger is showing the world what independent country artists can achieve on their own terms.
