Maren Morris Cancels Perth And Brisbane Shows

January 28, 2026 3:56 pm in by

Maren Morris has been forced to cancel the first two shows of her Australian tour, sharing that severe weather back home in Nashville has made travel impossible and safety the top priority.

In a statement sent to fans from ticketing outlets Morris explained: “Hi everyone, the last few days have been terrifying in my home of Nashville, Tennessee. We've been without power and safe passage to other neighbourhoods for days now and it’s looking like we’ll be in this for another few. With the ice freezing over every night, until enough has melted on the roads and our house power is restored, we’re stuck. I'm devastated to have to cancel these first two Australia shows. We are at the mercy of mother nature and trying to stay safe”

The tour was scheduled to commence at Perth’s Riverside Theatre on 30 January 2026, before heading to Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on 1 February.

The cancellations are an especially tough blow for Australian fans, many of whom have already waited years to see Morris live after her 2019 Girl: The World Tour dates were also cancelled.

That long gap has made this return feel even more anticipated, which is why the disappointment stings, it’s being met with an outpouring of understanding given the circumstances. Right now, the priority is Morris and her family’s safety, and we’re all hoping conditions improve quickly so the remaining Australian shows can go ahead as planned.

For ticket holders, refunds are being handled automatically.

Ticketek has confirmed that all tickets, including refundable purchases, will be refunded in full to the original payment method, with no action required from customers. In most cases, funds should appear within five business days, though some refunds may take up to 20 business days to process.

Ticketmaster has also advised that refunds will be issued automatically to the original purchaser, typically appearing within 14–21 days.
