Queenie & Hank Drop Debut Album

October 20, 2025 4:26 pm in by

There’s a new duo in town and they’re serving smoky harmonies, rhinestone energy, and a big dose of 60s magic. Queenie & Hank, the collaborative project of Eloise Thetford (aka Queenie) and Henry Wagons (aka Hank), have just released their debut self-titled album. It’s a lush collection of original duets that pays homage to the greats while carving out a fresh modern sound.

Think Nancy & Lee meets Dolly & Kenny with a splash of tequila.

What started as a chance meeting at the 2023 APRA Awards quickly turned into an unexpected creative explosion. Recorded in Hank's Trentwood Studio, the album flows with natural ease and all heart.

“It’s been such a pleasure working with Hank on this little musical feat,” Queenie says. “Henry is a fantastic writer, incredible musician and has brought to life songs that would’ve stayed locked in a notebook for the rest of eternity. He has given me the freedom to write for the love of it, without the crippling self doubt and scrutiny that usually accompanies producing a Queenie record. I’m so very grateful for Hank, his never ending talents and the limitless margaritas that magically appear every time I knock on his door.”

Hank returns the love: “Queenie is a creative dynamo, and can sing any house down to the ground! Writing with her is like a waterfall... nothing ever seems to get in the way and the end result is majestic!”

Across ten tracks, Queenie & Hank trade verses and swap stories. There’s a warmth and looseness to the album that feels rare. It’s dreamy, dusty and just straight up delightful.

The album is out now and the duo are set to launch it live with a short run of shows this November.
