Melbourne’s annual St Kilda Festival is gearing up for its latest edition next month, and with just over a month to go, organisers have begun to share the big names who will make up this year’s festivities.
Taking place across the weekend of February 14th and 15th, the two-day celebration of Australian music will bring more than 100 acts to its multiple stages, with more than 350,000 punters expected to turn up to embrace the free festivities.
Kicking things off on Saturday, February 14th, the 20th edition of First Peoples First will serve as a celebration of First Peoples music and culture, with ARIA Award-winner BARKAA and alt rock outfit Selve stepping up as headliners.
The day will also feature culturally focused music, workshops, markets, and the Kummargii Yulendji Gadabah Sunset Ceremony, overseen by N’Arweet Carolyn Briggs of the Boonwurrung Land & Sea Council.
The Palais Forecourt will also be taken over by Indigenous Outreach Projects, with a full day of dance and cultural activities on the schedule.
The Big Festival Sunday will follow on February 15th, with three big names headlining the event.
These include the multiple ARIA Award-winning chart-topper Jessica Mauboy, Aussie rock legends Mental As Anything (appearing 25 years since their last St Kilda Festival performance), and dance legends Sneaky Sound System.
“St Kilda Festival always puts on a fantastic show – 2026 continues this tradition,” said Port Phillip Council Mayor Alex Makin in a statement. “We’re excited to welcome Mental As Anything back after 25 years in the Big Festival Sunday lineup along with other amazing acts including Jessica Mauboy and Sneaky Sound System.
“Talented artists BARKAA and Selve will set the pace at First Peoples First on the Saturday. Come along for the music, food, activities, culture and rides at this joyful two-day celebration of the live music that our City is known and loved for.”
The full St Kilda Festival line-up for 2026 will arrive on Wednesday, January 14th.
