Australia’s most decorated country duo, The Wolfe Brothers, are stepping into a bold new era with the announcement of their seventh studio album, Australian Made, set to drop on August 29. With 10 Golden Guitars and 2 Countrytown Awards it’s safe to say the Tasmanian brothers are more than ready to plant their flag firmly in home soil.
Produced by Nick Wolfe and Rod McCormack, Australian Made is a celebration of the duo’s roots, their journey, and the land that shaped them. And while they once flirted with the idea of chasing the Nashville dream, it turns out home had their heart all along.
“There was a time a few years back where Nick and I were going to move over to America,” explains Tom Wolfe. “We had everything lined up including a major US recording deal, we were all set and ready to call another country home. The only problem was that’s not our home. This is our home, our friends are here, our family is here and the stories we want to celebrate are about Australia in all its diversity."
Tom adds, “It’s the right time for Australian Made. There is currently a huge country music boom happening here in Australia and worldwide, which we think is absolutely fantastic. We wanna raise our hands up and be that Australian voice for the next generation and do it in our way. The best things in life are Australian Made.”
To mark the album announcement, the brothers also dropped their new single today, teaming up with fast-rising duo Zac & George for How Many One More Times, a soul-stirring track about appreciating the now and not waiting for someday.
“We’re really proud to be releasing our new single, because it comes from a place that feels real, honest, and close to the heart,” says Nick Wolfe. “We’ve all been guilty of saying, ‘Yeah, I’ll catch up with them next time’ or ‘I’ll make that call tomorrow’ But the truth is, you never really know when those 'one more times' are going to run out.”
Zac & George echoed the sentiment: “Walking into the writing room, we were all thinking the same thing, an upbeat, country radio bop. However, the mood took a slight turn and headed into a very vulnerable place. The phrase ‘how many one more times’ was said and from there the song pretty much wrote itself.”
The Wolfe Brothers are also set to launch the album live at Gympie Music Muster, where they’ll be taking the stage as official Festival Ambassadors, another full-circle moment for the band who’ve become synonymous with Australian country music pride.
With Australian Made on the way and a powerful new single out right now, The Wolfe Brothers are cementing their place as the heart of Aussie country: proud, personal, and unmistakably homegrown.
