What a fantastic time for country music festivals in Australia – between the recently announced Howlin Country and Ridin Hearts line-ups, you mightn’t have thought there was room for more.

But on Saturday, 21 September, Sunset Bash festival returns to The Backyard, Panther's Penrith, NSW, with a line-up headlined by Travis Collins.

In addition to Collins, the 2024 edition of Sunset Bash has locked in Lane Pittman, Missy Lancaster (who you might recognise as a former member of Southbound xo), Andrew Swift, Duncan Toombs, Cass Hopetoun, and the 2024 Toyota Star Maker winner, Wade Forster. With all those artists booked, Sunset Bash has revealed its biggest line-up to date.

Sunset Bash debuted in Penrith last year, with its inaugural event hosting The Wolfe Brothers, Brooke McClymont & Adam Eckersley, Amber Lawrence, Duncan Toombs, and Lyn Bowtell.

The festival won’t just be bringing music, either, with the outdoor festival space booking food trucks, western-wear and festival fashion stalls, and an afterparty DJ spinning tracks until late. You can register for tickets via the Sunset Bash website and find tickets via Ticketek.

In other Travis Collins news, the singer was recently announced as one of many artists set to perform at the 2025 Tamworth Country Music Festival and travelled to Nashville in June as part of CMA Fest, but before that, Countrytown exclusively premiered the music video to his single, Don’t Get Me Started.

Don’t Get Me Started follows a massive 2023 for the Australian country music star, who released the highest-charting Australian country album of the year with Any Less Anymore and won a Golden Guitar Award.

In a press release, Collins said about the single, “It’s a phrase we’ve all heard and often say. It’s a lighthearted warning to somebody not to tease or tempt you with something they already know you’re serious about pursuing all the way or not at all.

“It could be an opportunity, a forbidden road trip, a potential relationship or even just a passionate stance on a point of view. We’ve all got something like that in our lives; when it hits the conversation table, we say Don’t Get Me Started.”
