Christmas came with a little extra sparkle this year, with country artists Kaylee Bell and Andrew Swift both sharing engagement news over the festive break. While their journeys are very much their own, the timing made it a feel-good moment for the country music community, proving that between the chaos of touring and recording, love is well and truly in the air.

For Bell, the Christmas engagement news landed at a time when her career is absolutely flying. With chart topping releases, international touring and a growing global fanbase, Bell has spent recent years ticking off major milestones and this one might just be the most personal yet.

Back in April 2025, Bell dropped her cheeky single Ring On It which famously starts off “It’s been eight years, and that’s a long time” based on a true story (theirs), it looks like it just might have worked! Bell’s partner Nick Campbell finally popped the question on Christmas Day and indeed put a stunning three rocks on her finger.

Speaking to Countrytown earlier last year Bell laughed when recalling the song's creation."I hid that song from my partner for about six months before I played it to him. He told me I should record it, and now, here we are"

Meanwhile, Swift’s engagement announcement added to the festive cheer. A constant favourite at Tamworth and beyond, Swift has built a career on heartfelt songwriting and genuine connection.

Swift’s partner Simone Sordello is also no stranger to the industry, appearing as a songwriter and backing vocalist on many of Swift’s songs.
