Love is in the air for Vixens of Fall’s Adrienne Whitehouse aka Wren, who announced her engagement to partner Ellen Hartwig over the weekend.

Sharing the moment on Instagram, Whitehouse wrote: “She put a ring on it! Ellen and I escaped for a few days to the most beautiful little place called @alumrockhideaway…”

The engagement was timed perfectly, falling on the couple’s two-year anniversary. Hartwig, who also happens to be the band’s bass player and musical director, clearly knows how to set the perfect scene, both on and off the stage.

“Back in April, we realised these few days in September would be the first proper time we’d both have off together” Whitehouse wrote “In the middle of our dreamy picnic, Ellen asked me to be hers forever and I said the easiest YES of my life.”

The announcement was met with love from across the Australian country music scene, with fellow artists like Tyla Rodrigues, Amy Sheppard, Brooke Schubert, Andrew Swift, and many more sending warm congratulations to the couple.
