Yungblud is currently touring across Australia, playing his largest-ever shows in the country. However, if he manages to do what he’s planning to do next year, he might just play to even bigger crowds.
Performing at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl last night (13 January), the British rock star told the ecstatic audience that he’d be bringing his own festival, Bludfest, to Australia in 2027.
As seen in fan-recorded footage below, Yungblud said towards the end of the evening, “I love you all, we will bring Bludfest to Australia [in] 2027! I fucking promise, goodnight!”

In a recent interview with The Music, Yungblud hinted at his plans to bring Bludfest to Australia, sharing hopes of taking the festival to other locations across the globe.
Yungblud also discussed his plans to bring Bludfest to Australia with triple j during his current tour Down Under. “My goal is to bring Bludfest to Australia in 2027,” he said.
Adding that the festival was born out of a “build it, and they will come” mindset after noticing punters frustrated about the cost of festival tickets, Yungblud shared that he wanted to make something inclusive—and that includes his Aussie fans.
He continued, “I can confirm my next ventures for Bludfest are the States, Japan, and Australia.”
Founded by Yungblud in 2024, Bludfest has held two editions at The National Bowl in Milton Keynes, UK. The multi-genre festival hosts acts across rock, alternative, hip-hop, and indie pop.
The first edition of the festival hosted artists such as Lil Yachty, Soft Play, The Damned, Nessa Barrett, and others. At last year’s event, Aussies Chase Atlantic and Peach PRC joined in the fun alongside Denzel Curry, blackbear, Rachel Chinouriri, and more. Yungblud headlined both events.
Earlier this month, Yungblud met up with fans at Sydney’s Behind The Gallery, which is currently featuring an exhibition spotlighting the singer, and received calls to the police due to massive crowds.
Following last night’s show, Yungblud will perform massive shows in Brisbane and Perth. You can check out his Australian tour setlist here and The Music’s photo gallery from Qudos Bank Arena here.
