Acclaimed country duo Brooke McClymont & Adam Eckersley have returned with news of their latest album, sharing all the details of their third record.
Dubbed Souls On Show, the record is set for release on Friday, August 28th, and is described as one that emerges from a place of earnestness and legitimacy, showcasing real emotion and performance in an era which has had its rough edges polished away thanks to AI and algorithms.
“Our album Souls On Show was written while we either took the position of casual observers,” Brooke & Adam explained, “Watching from the grandstand or vulnerable self evaluators standing in front of a mirror, in both we tried to make sense of and celebrate the craziness, joy and confusion of life.”
Alongside news of the record, the pair have also unveiled their latest single, In And Out Of Love.
Following on from recent cuts Now I’ve Said It and Someone Else’s Dream, the track embraces the reality of imperfect love, and was penned from watching a friend's life fall apart, taking the viewpoint of a long-term relationship that has weathered life's highs and lows.
Rather than chasing an idealised romance, Brooke and Adam celebrate the commitment required to keep choosing each other through every season. Powered with raw, emotive storytelling and soul-stirring vocals, it serves as a heartfelt love letter to love and lovers everywhere.
“In And Out Of Love was written about the time spent in the trenches of a relationship, the struggles that ultimately build a stronger and more satisfying love when you make it through to the other side,” they explain.
The new single also comes accompanied by a music video directed by Rob ‘The Sesh’, and features Australian dancers and choreographers Geneva Sampson and Cooper Cossettini.
