Casey Barnes is off to the US in April 2024 for an absolutely colossal festival appearance: he’s on the Stagecoach Festival line-up.

“Well…. sometimes dreams come true,” Barnes wrote on social media this morning (8 September). “We’re playing Stagecoach!! Feels surreal to actually even say it. And look at that lineup…. Let’s go!”

Barnes joins a festival line-up headlined by Eric Church, Miranda Lambert and Morgan Wallen. The Australian star is performing on Saturday, 27 April, alongside headliner Lambert, Willie Nelson and family, Leon Bridges, Ernest, Charley Crockett, Leon Grimes, Tenille Townes, and many more.

Last week, Barnes released his new single, Never Give Up On A Good Time, with a music video filmed with the excited crowd at this year’s Gympie Music Muster.

The new music video was created thanks to Jay Seeney Blacklist Productions, who Barnes credited for putting the clip together.

In late August, Casey Barnes reached #1 on the Countrytown Hot 50 with his July single, Boys Like Me. The recent number is Barnes’ second single from his upcoming follow-up album to 2022’s Light It Up, with the new album scheduled for release in early 2024.

This year’s Stagecoach Festival, which hosted the likes of Luke BryanKane BrownChris StapletonBrooks & DunnElle King and many more, was live-streamed on Prime Video and Amazon Music’s Twitch Channel.

DJ-turned-country artist Diplo (real name Thomas Wesley Pentz Jr.) also performed at the festival (and will again in 2024). He played a 70-minute set that included the recent track Use Me, a remix featuring Zach BryanRiddim, a remix starring Creedence Clearwater Revival and Avicii, and more.

Diplo wrote on social media following his Stagecoach set, “A lot of people told me I was crazy to do another project, and then they said “country music? Are you high??” Well, maybe I was, but I’ve never lost a bet when I bet on myself, so I went out.. secured a few platinum plaques, made a new album and closed out Stagecoach two years in a row . . my favorite [sic] hobby is to prove the doubters wrong .. and my set is now live on youtube.”

Days before his Stagecoach appearance, the famous DJ released his latest album, Thomas Wesley: Chapter 2 - Swamp Savant, leading to Diplo returning to his roots and learning to play the guitar.
