Gold Coast artist Chloe Styler is back with her latest country-pop banger, ready to dominate the airwaves with Time Bomb.
Her new music video has received a premiere from CMT Australia and arrives ahead of tour dates opening for Go West and Nik Kershaw this month, as well as a one-off date supporting Travis Collins in April.
On her new single, Styler mines heartbreak and love like a pro, offering an acoustic-led tune that won’t leave our heads anytime soon.
Styler wrote and recorded Time Bomb alongside the songwriting and production duo, MSquared – Michael DeLorenzis and Michael Paynter – penning the song just two weeks after a breakup.
Styler said about Time Bomb in a press release, “I really enjoy songs with intimate and personal lyrics, so we threw caution to the wind with this one and went as personal as we could!”
“Every lyric is true to the timeline of my past relationship, starting with our first date: ‘mini golf on the coast, pizza, picnic, moving slow’, to dates we shared: ‘Pisces, Leo, weekend hikes’, then, of course, to how we ended: ‘we were a time bomb, you and me, just a love turned into smithereens’.”

The video was directed by Jazmyn Smith (Jazmyn Produces), who directed the clip for Styler’s #11 song on the CMT Chart, Hometownless. In addition to Smith, Styler recruited stylist Tamzen Holland and hair and makeup artist Reanin Glah for a truly glamorous, authentic vision of what she wanted to capture with Time Bomb.
On the music video, Styler added, “I have such a clear vision when it comes to my sound and visuals that I find comfort and joy when it comes time to start sorting the looks for shows and videos. I’m really proud of this music video and the visual world we created for the viewer - which is basically an inside look into my mind with lots of colour, flowers and goofing about!”
In a recent Countrytown interview, Styler remarked, “There’s a space in Nashville for any Australian that really wants it”. You can read the full interview here.
