American country music singer-songwriter Chris Young won’t just be headlining CMC Rocks Queensland alongside Lainey Wilson and Tyler Hubbard; today, he announces two more solo headline dates while he’s in Australia next year.
Promoting his latest single, Young Love & Saturday Nights - which interpolates the David Bowie classic, Rebel Rebel - Young will bring his show to Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Monday, 11 March, and Melbourne’s Forum on Wednesday, 13 March. From there, fans can catch Young in the headline slot at CMC Rocks. Special guest Bryan Martin will join Young on the solo dates.
Frontier Members can access pre-sale tickets for Young’s solo headline dates on Thursday, 23 November, from 10 am local time – general tickets go on sale on Friday, 24 November, at 11 am local time. You can find tickets via the Frontier Touring website.
Young last toured in Australia in 2015. Since then, he’s released another three albums – the festive It Must Be Christmas in 2016, Losing Sleep in 2017, and Famous Friends in 2021.
In addition to the album releases, Young has amassed 13 #1 singles, 24 Gold and Platinum releases in the US, gained multiple ACM, AMA, CMA and Grammy nominations and won Performance of the Year and Collaborative Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards.
The 20-track Famous Friends features the #1 title track starring Kane Brown, Town Ain’t Big Enough with Lauren Alaina and At The End of a Bar with Mitchell Tenpenny.
As well as the headliners, CMC Rocks has locked in Chase Rice, Oliver Anthony, Nate Smith, Megan Moroney, Morgan Wade, Jackson Dean, Priscilla Block and Elvie Shane. The bill is also stacked with local talent, with highlights including Brad Cox, Casey Barnes, Taylor Moss, Melanie Dyer, Sara Berki, Josh Setterfield, Loren Ryan, Lane Pittman and Hayley Marsten.
