Having first teased the establishment a few months ago, Chris Young has welcomed the first wave of guests into his newly-opened Famous Friends sports bar.
Located in the heart of Nashville’s Midtown neighbourhood, the new Famous Friends bar is located at 1516A Demonbreun St, just a matter of steps away from the iconic Tin Roof, and just a short walk away from Riley Green‘s Duck Blind bar.
“I'm very excited for Famous Friends to be open in Nashville! I have been working on this as a passion project for a while now,” Young said at the time of its announcement.
“A sports bar that will be Nashville famous for a reason. Something completely different where you can bring all your friends for a great time!”
To celebrate its opening, Young held a special invite-only party, with the likes of US Farmer Wants A Wife stars Braden Pridemore and Brett Maverick, former NFL linebacker Miles Burris, country artists Mitchell Tenpenny and Meghan Patrick, alongside a raft of athletes, entertainers, television personalities, and industry tastemakers.
Also in attendance were Breland and Shaylen, who are both featured on the deluxe edition of Young's latest album, I Didn't Come Here To Leave.
“This has been a passion project of mine for a long time,” Young said in a statement. “I've talked about opening a bar for years, and I wanted to create a true sports bar that still feels like a great place to hang out—even when there's not a game on.
“At Famous Friends, we have the ability to show up to seven different games at once, so fans never have to miss the action.”
Named for 2021 album and song of the same name (of which the latter topped the US Country Airplay chart), Famous Friends officially opened to the public from 11am on June 24th, describes itself as a “gathering place for friends and fans”, with constant game coverage being offered alongside elevated food and beverage options.
Young released his tenth album, I Didn't Come Here To Leave, in October, with a deluxe edition arriving earlier this month. He's currently set to tour the US over the coming months, so fans might want to check his tour schedule before heading to Famous Friends in hopes of catching him on-ground.
