Continuing with the momentum he’s built recently, Corey Legge was due to return to Europe soon for a string of shows.
The shows would have occurred in Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands throughout September and October. Unfortunately, Legge has announced that the tour has been cancelled due to “crazy unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances.”
This is the fourth time in five years Legge has had a European tour cancelled due to circumstances outside his control. The first three tours in 2020, 2021 and 2022 were cancelled due to COVID-19 travel restrictions and restrictions on live music venues – this tour was cancelled as Legge’s booking agent and friend, Jordy, is dealing with serious health issues. He, therefore, can’t continue booking Legge’s tour.
“I can only imagine how extremely difficult and frustrating it must be for [Jordy], having to climb such a mountain at this time,” Legge wrote in a candid social media post. “He has had to deal with so much more adversity than I have these past few years, so I have my fingers crossed that he finally starts to get the good luck that he deserves.
“I would like to send my well wishes to Jordy on his road to recovery. Please check out his awesome southern-rock band Copperhead County and chuck them a like.”
Legge continued to write that the setbacks wouldn’t deter him, and he’d tour Europe “as soon as the universe allows.”
Where there’s bad news for his European fans, there’s something positive for his fans living in his home country of Australia. Legge has revealed that he’ll tour far more extensively down under later this year.
“It would mean the world to me if you would come to my shows and buy my CDs and merch to keep me moving in the right direction,” he wrote. “Thanks to everyone who has supported me through these challenging past few years. It means the world. Onwards and upwards!”
Ending the post with some positivity, Legge concluded, “P.S. It's not all doom and gloom. I do have some super positive news to announce soon. I can't wait to share the news with you all.”
Could the news have anything to do with Legge’s forthcoming album? So far, we’ve heard Friday Nights (released last September), West Coast (dropped in January), and the freshly released tune, I’m Coming Back.
