What a massive week in country music! It’s the end of financial year and it looks like artists right across the world are clearing out their wares like it’s country music Prime Day! There’s so many great tracks we could have expanded to another ten this week, but that would be cheating, so without further ado, here are the ten best tracks released this week, available for your earholes right now on The Country Drop.

Jelly Roll - Hands Up
Sometimes a song comes along and you just want to jump in your car, go for a drive and sing like nobody’s listening. Jelly has that unique ability to hit your feels with autobiographical lines oozing out of every space while still making it feel like a party. He brings it to every live performance making you feel like you’re the only person in the room while also having a religious group experience. With this song debuting at his recent live shows (including his surprise set at CMA Fest, airing today on Stan), the experience just got lifted. Get ‘em up!
Cody Johnston & Luke Combs - Shoot The Bull
It’s hard to ignore a duet with two of the biggest names in country. Cody has brought in the big guns with stadium-filler Luke Combs adding his flaire to this stomper and once you’re done with The Country Drop, you can give his whole album some time.
Brooke McClymont & Adam Eckersley - In And Out Of Love
Fresh from hosting this year’s Countrytown Awards, Brooke and Adam have taken their shot with this banger and hit the bullseye. There’s nothing better than a big country ballad duet and there’s not many better than this one. It’s the first taste of their album coming in August.
Jake Banfield - Sun Goes Down
Whiskey, beer, cocktails, beach party, name checking country hits. This one’s ticking all the boxes for a summer beach party if you’re in Nashville, but equally chilled for a night around the campfire if you’re a little further south.
Hayley Jensen - Wild As The Wind
Hayley’s back! As our most-nominated at this year’s Countrytown Awards, she slayed us with her killer closing performance. You can always rely on Jensen for a big chorus that shows off her range and this one won’t disappoint her fans.
Luke Bryan - Made It A Memory
Another genuine superstar dropping a tune this week, Bryan’s Made It A Memory is the latest from his album Signs which drops on September 18. A big country ballad that hits all the feels, this one has us excited to hear the full record.
Michael Honan - Hold You Close
Aussie independent Michael Honan has stepped it up with this cracking tune Hold You Close. A participant in last year’s APRA Songhubs program, this latest song was a product of that Nashville trip, written with the legendary Lindsay Rimes who has penned hits with the likes of Kane Brown, Nate Smith, Chase Rice and Locash. Check out that chorus!
Chase Matthew & Waka Flocka Flame - Hard Liquor
Better known as a hip hop artist, Waka Flocka Flame turned up at CMA Fest and pulled a massive crowd as one of the latest to jump ship to country. Teaming up with Chase Matthew, this is his first country track released and while it’s not going to set the traditionalists’ tongues wagging, it’ll no doubt be a dancefloor filler for the American summer.
Carly Pearce - She Don’t
Grammy, CMA and ACM award winner Carly Pearce is back with this great tune She Don’t. Her album Honest Woman drops at the end of August and this is the first taste of what to expect. We’re here for it!
Alan Jackson - Still The One
In the week where the name on everyone’s lips in Australia is Karl Stefanovic, when this one popped up we just had to throw it in the list. A genuine legend (Jackson that is, not Stefanovic), this one was released as a tribute to his wife, who he met when she was practicing a cheerleading routine to the original by Orleans. But this week, known better to Aussies as the Channel 9 theme, we’re dedicating it to Karl…. It’s not just Alan Jackson that had his final show this week.
