Queenslanders, prepare for the Barra And Boots Music Festival, a new event heading to Lake Proserpine in the Whitsundays on Saturday, 15 June 2024.
Starring headliner Adam Brand, the inaugural country music extravaganza also hosts Sara Storer, Andrew Swift, Jayne Denham, Portia Clark and Billie-Jo Porter.
An intimate event, Barra And Boots is selling strictly limited tickets and camping packages. There are only 600 tickets (sold at $180 per person) and 120 campsites with a maximum of six people per campsite ($300 per campsite).
If you’re camping, you can check in on Friday, 14 June, between noon and 9 pm or arrive on Saturday morning any time before 11 am. Check-out runs until Sunday, 16 June, before 11 am.
Festival organisers note that there are toilet and shower facilities on-site, but there won’t be any power. It’s a BYO drinks and food event, with one or two food trucks located on the camping grounds. Tickets are non-refundable, and patrons are encouraged to bring tents, camping chairs, blankets, and drinks and get comfortable while watching some of Australia’s finest country artists in an intimate event.
Timeslots for Portia Clark are to be confirmed. For now, the running times listed on the festival website show Billie-Jo Porter hosting a 45-minute set at 3 pm, followed by Sara Storer, Andrew Swift and Jayne Denham playing hour-long sets each from 4 pm. Adam Brand will close proceedings from 7:45 pm until 9 pm.

Last year, Brand was nominated for the Best Independent Country Album or EP at the 2023 AIR Awards for his album All Or Nothing.
All Or Nothing features the hit singles Still The One and the title track, co-written by The Wolfe Brothers, which peaked at #1 on the Countrytown Hot 50 Airplay Chart upon release. The album and single were nominated for a stack of Golden Guitar Awards, including Single of the Year, Song of the Year, Contemporary Country Album of the Year and Album of the Year. The AIR Award subsequently went to Andy Golledge’s Strength Of A Queen.
