Morgan Wallen looks primed to join the illustrious company of country artists who have opened bars in Nashville.
If a new report from the Nashville Business Journal is correct, the Last Night singer has apparently teamed up with TC Restaurant Group and purchased a parking lot at 107 Fourth Ave in Nashville for $10 million in 2022. Wallen is reportedly looking to open a live music venue and bar at that address.
The $10 million parking lot is poised to become a six-storey building, not just for live music and having a good time but also for a gift shop and a rooftop entertainment area. If Wallen does open a bar and music venue in Nashville, the space will be situated behind Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row.
Wallen won’t be the first country music artist TC Restaurant Group have collaborated with, having opened bars with Jason Aldean (Kitchen And Rooftop Bar), Miranda Lambert (Casa Rosa, Tequila Cowboy), Luke Bryan (32 Bridge Food + Drink), and more.
TC Restaurant Group and Wallen’s management declined to comment to the Nashville Business Journal about the proposed plans.
At the time of writing, there’s no timeline or name attached to Wallen’s bar.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that Wallen has dominated the nominations for the first-ever People’s Choice Country Awards (not to be confused with the usual People’s Choice Awards).
Wallen has been nominated in 11 categories as Lainey Wilson and Luke Combs also racked up a considerable amount of nods.
Wallen’s record-breaking album, One Thing At A Time, has been nominated for Album Of The Year, as four singles – Last Night, You Proof, Thought You Should Know, and Thinkin’ About Me have been nominated in multiple categories.
The People’s Choice Country Awards is a fan-voted ceremony that will take place in Nashville on 28 September.
In mid-August, Wallen shaved off his signature mullet, devastating country fans across the globe.
With or without hair, Wallen is the biggest star in country music, with Last Night announced as the biggest country radio hit in Australia so far this year and his recent Australian tour breaking records.
