James Johnston's global rise shows no signs of slowing down.
Over the weekend, the star performed to a crowd of 6,000 fans in Sweden, marking yet another major milestone in what has already been a remarkable career.
The three-time Golden Guitar winner, ARIA Award nominee and artist behind the top-selling Australian country album on the ARIA Charts in 2025 took to the stage at the High Chaparral Country Festival, one of Sweden's premier country music events.
Held annually in Kulltorp, the three day festival transforms the streets of the High Chaparral western-style theme park into a bustling country music destination, attracting artists and fans from around the world.
For Johnston, it was an opportunity to introduce his music to a new audience and judging by the response, Sweden was more than ready to welcome him.
Bringing his trademark high energy performance style, Johnston delivered a set packed with fan favourites alongside tracks from his latest album, WHERE YOU'LL FIND ME. The performance further cemented his growing international appeal as Australian country music continues to gain traction overseas.
While Johnston has enjoyed enormous success at home, performing for thousands of fans on the other side of the globe represents another significant step forward in his career.
The singer was quick to share his excitement with fans after the show, taking to Instagram to reflect on the experience.
The announcement will no doubt come as welcome news to the thousands of Swedish fans who turned out to see him perform over the weekend.
While Johnston's appearance at High Chaparral Country Festival may have only been one night, it appears the relationship between the Australian country star and his growing Scandinavian fanbase is just getting started. As revealed via Instagram, Johnston is already planning a return trip, with a dedicated Swedish tour locked in for 2027.
