It looks like American singer-songwriter Kip Moore felt some FOMO (fear of missing out) as this year’s CMC Rocks went ahead over the weekend. To make up for that, he teased an Australian tour before the end of the year.
If you attended this year’s festival, you likely saw Kip Moore make an appearance on the CMC stage screens. But even if you weren’t there, don’t fret: the event’s social media team ensured that you saw his teaser from home.
Appearing on the CMC Rocks stage screens, Moore addressed his fans: “CMC, what’s happening, guys? Kip Moore here. This time last year, we were all hanging out together. I was in Australia to play my headline set on the Rebel Stage, and, man, I’m missing you all right now.”
He continued, “I wish I could be there so much, but I promise you I’ll be back to see you before the end of the year. So, make sure you’re watching CMC socials next week for more news. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, be safe, I’mma see you guys soon. Cheers.”
You can watch Moore’s teaser announcement and fans’ reactions below.
This year’s CMC Rocks festival wrapped up yesterday (17 March), and headliners included Chris Young, Lainey Wilson, and Tyler Hubbard.
Elsewhere on the line-up, CMC Rocks locked in Morgan Wade, Megan Moroney, Drake Milligan, Oliver Anthony, Jackson Dean, and more international artists. Australian acts included Casey Barnes, Lane Pittman, Brad Cox, Taylor Moss, Melanie Dyer, Sara Berki, Josh Setterfield, Loren Ryan, and Hayley Marsten.
Yesterday, CMC Rocks revealed the dates for its 2025 return.
Moore last played in Australia last year, performing at CMC Rocks and Dittman Bull Country Music Festival, as well as sideshows in Melbourne and Sydney.
On performing for his fans in Australia, Moore said in a Countrytown interview last year, “I seem to have found a crowd in Australia that really understands what I do and appreciates the lyrics and musicality of what we're trying to do.”
