Laci Kaye Booth is entering a new chapter.
Fresh off a run of Australian and New Zealand dates supporting Morgan Evans, the Texas singer-songwriter has announced her third studio album, Love Ain’t For The Faint Of Heart, due for release on September 18.
Alongside the announcement, Booth has unveiled the album’s lead single, Ethereal Redneck Shit, giving fans their first taste of what promises to be one of her most personal and ambitious projects yet.
Produced by Ben West, who also helmed Booth’s acclaimed 2024 album The Loneliest Girl In The World, the upcoming record explores the many sides of love through Booth’s signature blend of sharp songwriting, vulnerability and vivid storytelling.
“I knew from the very beginning that this was going to be an album about love,” Booth said.
Known for her diaristic writing style and ability to find beauty in life's messier moments, Booth explained that while “I had so many love songs this time,” the album digs much deeper than simple romance.
That sentiment is reflected in the album artwork itself, which features Booth locked in a passionate embrace while a fiery mushroom cloud erupts in the background - a fitting visual for a record that appears ready to explore both the highs and the fallout that often come with matters of the heart.
With Love Ain’t For The Faint Of Heart, Booth appears ready to continue carving out her own lane: one built on honesty, fearless storytelling and a willingness to embrace the beautiful chaos that comes with falling in love.
