Prior to this month, Kernaghan had already announced one headline show in Tamworth (booked to go down at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment Centre on Thursday January 25), as well as appearances at the 2024 Gympie Music Muster, Melbourne Muster and Lighthouse Country Music Festival.

Bolstering the slate, he’s now added bonus headline shows at the Hindley Street Music Hall in Adelaide (where he’ll perform on Friday April 19) and the Crown Theatre in Perth (where he’ll play a day later on Saturday April 20). Tickets to both new shows are on sale now – find them here.

According to a press release, too, more tour dates will be announced over the coming months, with a suite of shows locked in for the second half of 2024.

Looking forward to the tour (which comes on the heels of his 2022 documentary Boy From The Bush), Kernaghan said in a statement: “The power of music is such an amazing thing. It can lift you up when you’re feeling down or take you back to a special place in time. One of the greatest things though is how it brings people together. I’m really looking forward to catching up with all my damn good mates across Australia on the 2024 tour. It’s the people I’ve met and the places I’ve been that have inspired so many of the songs. Being out on the road again will be like coming home.”

Meanwhile, James Johnston announced earlier this month that he’s currently working with Kernaghan on a joint single, which fans can expect to hear sometime in 2024. Johnston copped a shoutout from Kernaghan in his recent interview with Countrytown, where he affirmed it’s “a super exciting time” for Australian country music.
