Lee Kernaghan, Kasey Chambers & John Williamson Lead 2024 Lighthouse Country Music Festival

Lighthouse Country music festival will return to the coastal Queensland town of Burnett Heads in May 2024, boasting a line-up led by headliners Lee Kernaghan, Kasey Chambers and John Williamson.

On Saturday, 4 May, the Bundaberg region will light up with music from the headliners as well as Brooke McClymont + Adam Eckersley, James Blundell, Kingswood, Hillbilly Goats, Pete Denahy, Mark Lavender and Keely Ellen. Local Taribelang Aboriginal Corporation will begin the proceedings with an emotional Welcome to Country.

To be in for the running of exclusive pre-sale ticket access and a prize pack, head to the Lighthouse Country website before 11:59 pm on Monday, 13 November. General admission tickets will be sold on Thursday, 16 November, at 9 am via Oztix.

The one-day, family-friendly festival will also support the Sea Turtle Alliance, Great Barrier Reef Legacy and RACQ LifeFlight.

“We are thrilled to be able to showcase this big day out of country and bring this amazing line-up to our region,” promoter Gavin Hales said in a press release. “With workshops and activities for the kids, everyone will be entertained for the whole day and night!”

Lighthouse Country made its debut in April 2023, booking a range of artists, including next year’s headliner, Lee Kernaghan, Adam Brand, Beccy Cole, Travis Collins, Adam Harvey, Casey Barnes, McAlister Kemp, Jayne Denham, The Crackup Sisters and more.

Lighthouse Country follows Lighthouse Rock, which took place in October 2022 and saw 6000 people watch the likes of Jimmy Barnes, Ian MossJon StevensThe ChoirboysAbby SkyeEmpirical Prey, and Jackson Dunn perform as well as the Triple M Battle of the Bands winner.

Earlier this year, Kernaghan was added to the Groundwater Music Festival KIX-Start competition judging panel.

“I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the judging panel and having the opportunity to listen to some of Australian country music’s hottest new emerging talent,” Kernaghan said upon this year’s winner, Denvah, receiving the prize. “Groundwater Country Music Festival and KIX Radio Network have provided an incredible platform for new artists to receive national recognition from both the music industry and country fans Australia-wide.”
