An unreleased Morgan Wallen song called Always Have, Always Will has been going viral on TikTok, both confusing and thrilling fans and leaving them asking, why hasn’t he released this?
At the time of writing, there are thousands of videos on TikTok of fans listening to and sharing the unreleased track.
Always Have, Always Will separates itself from other Wallen songs that have gone viral on the platform, not only because it’s a snippet of music we haven’t heard on an album before, but because it’s a real throwback to his older tunes.
The song follows the success of songs like I Guess and Somebody’s Problem on the platform.
Holler.Country reports that Always Have, Always Will comes from early in Wallen’s career, and what over 2,000 videos featuring the song on TikTok have platformed only surfaced online this year.
The origin of the song is unclear, but Holler.Country believes the song likely came from between his 2015 Stand Alone EP and his debut studio album, If I Know Me. You can watch some snippets of Always Have, Always Will below.
On Friday, 5 July, Wallen released a highly anticipated track he’d teased online before its official release. Lies, Lies, Lies is a melancholy song written by Jessie Jo Dillon, Josh Miller, Daniel Ross, and Chris Tompkins, produced by Joey Moi and recorded by Wallen at London’s Studio Two at Abbey Road Studios back in December.
Earlier this year, Wallen celebrated the first anniversary of One Thing At A Time by surprise releasing his Abbey Road Sessions live videos, playing five songs from the album – Thinkin’ Bout Me, Sunrise, Everything I Love, I Wrote The Book, and I Deserve A Drink – as well as Lies, Lies, Lies and a cover of Nothing But Thieves’ Graveyard Whistling.
Wallen recently opened his new bar, This Bar & Nashville Kitchen – which didn’t open without some problems, and in May, went to #1 thanks to his collaboration with Post Malone, I Had Some Help.
