A 36-year-old man was attacked outside RAC Arena following Luke Combs’ show in Perth on Saturday, Nine News reported this morning.

According to the Western Australia Police Force, the man was punched and kicked in the head in an unprovoked attack and subsequently fell to the pavement, hitting his head.

While the man is in stable condition today, he was in critical condition upon his rush to hospital on Saturday. The Western Australia Police Force is urging any witnesses to come forward and help them find the alleged attacker, who didn’t know the victim before this incident.

The alleged attacker reportedly fled from the scene after punching the man.

Combs’ first Brisbane show on his World Tour Australian dates – which Countrytown reviewed – arrived with a gender reveal, in which the singer was handed a balloon to announce a gender reveal for the first time.

“You’d be happy with either, right?” Combs asked before popping the balloon with his teeth. Was it a girl or a boy? You can find out here.

On the ARIA Albums Chart, Combs’ Australian visit has boosted his records up the charts.

After 198 weeks on the ARIA Chart, the double Platinum What You See Ain’t Always What You Get currently sits at #16 on the albums chart after landing at #14 last week and #21 the week before.

Gettin’ Old has also moved one place to #9, and the double Platinum This One’s For You is at #8 (last week #9) after 272 weeks on the chart.

Also, while in Australia, Luke Combs scored a lesson in AFL from three-time All-Australian legend Eddie Betts.

Australian country music star Casey Barnes replied to the photo of the pair in the comments, “This is absolutely brilliant…. Now to get him to play at the GF”.

Luke Combs kicked off his completely sold-out Australian tour in Brisbane on Saturday, 12 August, with special guests Cody Johnson and Lane Pittman.

Countrytown reviewer Liv Dunford called the show “magic” and discovered how quickly Luke Combs could wrap an audience around his fingers. You can read our live review here.
