Ridin’ Hearts Festival won’t be going ahead this year, but organisers have assured Australian country music fans that they’re already looking towards 2027.
And while the festival isn’t happening this year, its Ridin’ Starts emerging talent program will return in 2026.
In a statement, organisers told Countrytown, “Ridin’ Hearts will take a year off in 2026, but plans to return bigger and better than ever in 2027.
“In the meantime, we have some exciting things brewing - like the return of our Ridin’ Starts emerging talent program - which we’re looking forward to launching soon! So, stand by; we’ll have more information to share shortly.”
Ridin’ Hearts – led by the team behind CMC Rocks – launched for the first time in November 2023. Taking place at Showgrounds venues in Melbourne and Sydney, the inaugural line-up featured Bailey Zimmerman, Danielle Bradbery, Sam Barber, Zac & George, Seaforth, Sara Berki, and more.
Introducing the event in July 2023, Chugg Music’s eponymous Michael Chugg said, “This festival is a first of its kind, a unique opportunity to witness the domination of country music in Australia. We’re thrilled to bring together a mix of established country artists and emerging talents, creating an unforgettable day of music, fun and authentic country experiences.”
Frontier Touring’s Susan Heymann added, “The popularity of country music is no longer a secret; the audience is growing and is more far-reaching than ever, so it’s time for something for the fans in the city.
“Ridin’ Hearts is a fresh festival experience for long-time country loyalists and the country curious. Alongside CMC Rocks, Ridin’ Hearts is set to become another unmissable event for Australian country music fans and the perfect stage for international artists to play in front of Australia’s most passionate music fans.”
The festival returned in 2024, with a line-up starring Riley Green, Cooper Alan, Tanner Adell, MacKenzie Porter, Casey Barnes, and more.
In October 2025, Ridin’ Hearts hosted its third edition, welcoming Megan Moroney, Nate Smith, Avery Anna, Waylon Wyatt, Lane Pittman, and more to its line-up.
