2027 marks the first edition of the Tamworth Country Music Festival under the helm of Festival Manager Joel Ulbricht.

He said of next year’s event, “Tamworth isn’t just a festival; it’s where the Australian country music story is written every January.

“From the youngest busker playing their first song to the biggest names in the industry, everyone shares the same corners, the same streets, and the same passion for country music. That’s something you simply won’t find anywhere else.”

The Festival’s Executive Producer, Peter Ross, added, “It’s often hard to explain just how large and diverse this Festival is, so this year’s theme aims to educate new audiences and encourage them to come and experience a must-do bucket list item.”

NSW Minister for Jobs and Tourism Steve Kamper offered, “For 55 years, the Tamworth Country Music Festival has been the heartbeat of Australia’s country music scene, and it’s not slowing down.

“Peel Street comes alive every January—the bars, the pubs, the clubs, the buzz you can’t get anywhere else in the country. The 2027 line-up proves once again why NSW does regional experiences better than anyone.”
