Gosh dang, what a week it’s been for scorchin’ new country tunes! Not only were we blessed with spicy new releases from some of Australia’s finest up-and-comers, like Max Jackson (who just dropped Who You Did It With), Casey Barnes (who went all out with his new album Mayday) and Chloe Styler (whose new cut Read A Room is destined to be a hit), but the international heavyweights were out in full force: Shaboozey came in guns blazing with his wicked new banger My Fault (featuring Noah Cyrus), for example, while Josh Ross delivered another instant classic in New Me, and Megan Moroney got her fans going absolutely mental with Never Left Me.
With all of that in mind, now seems like as good a time as any to remind you – or clue you in, if you didn’t know already – that we have our very own playlist dedicated to bringing you the best new music from all corners of the country music landscape, fittingly named Hot Country Hits Australia. We update it every Friday with more than a dozen of the brand new tracks we simply can’t get enough of, giving you the ultimate soundtrack to fuel your weekend.

Casey Barnes – Ain’t No Better Buddy Than A Beer
WHAT HE SAYS: “What's the one thing in life that will wait for you patiently, never judge you, and always be there? Beer. That's the premise we went with when writing this one, with tongue firmly planted in cheek, of course. It's a BBQ Anthem that's a deliberate departure from what you’d be used to hearing from me. This one’s meant to be fun and have you singing along, no matter where you are around the world, when they call last drinks! I was also lucky to have legendary Nashville songsmith Bobby Huff add his pen to the tune, and we reckon it's guaranteed to have you reaching for the fridge, in moderation, of course ;)”

Chloe Styler – Read A Room
WHAT SHE SAYS: “While I was in the process of being ghosted, I found myself saying the same thing to my friends... Something along the lines of, ‘This guy is so lucky that I know how to read a room.’ Although it hurt at the time I’ve come to realise that he did me a favour in the long run!
“This was my first time recording in Nashville, Tennessee and I feel so fortunate to have had such an incredible experience! Luke Wooten is an incredible producer who I’ve had the pleasure of knowing for a few years now. So, it was great to finally be in the studio working on this song with him and the band.”
Kristy Cox – Front Porch Of Paradise
WHAT SHE SAYS: “I am so excited about this new release. I’m incredibly proud of the songs we have put together. Jerry Salley and the musical team did a great job bringing everything to life.”
