This morning, the line-up for the highly anticipated 18th-anniversary edition of CMC Rocks Queensland landed. The March 2025 event will be headlined by international superstars Cody Johnson, Jon Pardi, and Thomas Rhett.
While there’s plenty of international talent on the bill, including Cole Swindell and Alana Springsteen, it’s fair to say that the local contingent is just as strong.
For CMC Rocks Queensland 2025, organisers have locked in an abundance of Australian talent, including one of our most successful artists, Travis Collins.
Meanwhile, many of the country’s emerging stars will be playing at the festival for the first time, and others will be proving why they’re back again. The other Aussies on the bill are Lane Pittman, Zac & George, Max Jackson, Amy Sheppard, Sinead Burgess, Abbie Ferris, Imogen Clark, The Buckleys, Denvah and Vixens Of Fall.
Travis Collins is an eight-time Golden Guitar Award winner. Three of his albums, Hard Light (2016), Brave & The Broken (2018) and Wreck Me (2020), have reached the top 20 of the ARIA Albums Chart—an impressive feat considering country music hasn’t always been one of the most popular genres in Australia (but it’s currently booming). The singer and guitarist is currently on his Don’t Get Me Started national tour and is a regular at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, returning to the event in January.
Meanwhile, Lane Pittman is a rising star. The young singer-songwriter released his debut EP in March and made a significant dent in the music industry. The EP features Pittman’s two most recent singles—Love In A Country Town (which landed online last August) and Ain’t Too Much To Ask (which followed in November)—both of which found success on the Countrytown Hot 50 chart.
We were introduced to Pittman in 2022 when he auditioned for The Voice Australia with Even Though I’m Leaving by Luke Combs. He thrived in the competition, and despite not winning, he’s already made an impressive career that will only continue developing. Last year, he opened for Combs on his Australian tour.
Another Australian success story is Max Jackson, whose music has been played on Garth Brooks’ radio station, The Big 615. In November, Jackson was named an ambassador for the 52nd Tamworth Country Music Festival. That achievement followed other milestones she experienced last year, including signing with ABC Music and teaming up with Stephen White Management.
Denvah is another favourite from the reality singing shows circuit, finding success on Australian Idol earlier this year. The singer has since featured on Grass Roots, will support Casey Barnes on his upcoming Mayday Australian tour, and has locked in numerous festival slots.
Self-described “hippy country” sibling band The Buckleys are another group appearing at CMC Rocks. With a string of impressive songs under their belts, the band will join Denvah in opening for Casey Barnes on his forthcoming tour and appear at the inaugural Lasso country music festival in southeast Queensland.
