So of the Top 6 artists, which are you keen to see?
Adam Brand today releases the second single DRUNK from his #1 ARIA Country album “Get On Your Feet”.
DRUNK is one of the most popular songs from Brand’s new “Get On Your Feet” album and tour of the same name. It is a lighthearted look at Aussies as a bunch of laid back larrikins who like to have a good time.
Brand said of DRUNK, “This is the song that people are asking for out on tour. Whenever it starts playing, there is a great change in energy in the room. It’s fun, tongue in cheek and captures the essence of Aussies having a good night out!”
Country Music Superstar and Tamworth Country Music Festival Party Ambassador, Adam Brand said that DRUNK is about waking up with sore feet and a big smile plastered on your face.
“DRUNK is all about having fun! I want people to come to my show and have a laugh, a few drinks and a good time..and if you do this hopefully you wake up blisters on your feet because you danced too hard, have some great memories and a big smile on your dial!”, says Brand
Adam Brand has built a stellar career that has already seen him nominated for multiple ARIA Awards, win 12 Golden Guitars, sell over half a million CDs & DVDs, as well as earn 3 x platinum & 5x gold albums.

Adam Brand bounces back into the spotlight today with the release of his glorious new single ‘Still The One’. Through his heartfelt and engaging lyrics, Adam delivers an irresistible reflection on sustaining connection in the face of adversity.
Across more than two decades in music, soulful country songsmith Adam Brand has made a close study of love in its every facet.
“These two people have been through a crazy, difficult time”, Adam says of the couple at the heart of “Still The One”, “just like every relationship does. Just like we, as a country and world, are going through right now. But no matter what happened in the past or what will happen, they’re saying, you’re still the one. We’ll stick together through thick and thin.”
It’s a timely message of hope, confirming Adam’s gift for unearthing those shared experiences that bind people from all walks of life together: from connecting over the wobbly table at a café to weathering the pang of physical separation.
“Even though it’s a love song between two people, there are so many relationships that are under duress at the moment,” Adam reflects. “There’s a lot of separation in the world because of borders. I hope everyone has somebody they can look in the eye and say, whatever happens, no matter what comes our way, we’re sticking through this.”
Combining irresistible pop production, a dancefloor-ready beat, and Adam’s own earthy brand of heartland country soul, “Still The One” finds Adam exploring new vistas in sound.
Since bursting onto the scene with his celebrated self-titled debut album in 1998, Adam Brand has taken home 12 CMAA Golden Guitar Awards and netted 6 ARIA Award nominations. Across 15 studio albums, Adam has celebrated three platinum and five gold album certifications. Confirming Adam’s incomparable power as a fan favourite performer Australia wide, the world-beating artist has taken out seven CMC Oz Artist of the Year Awards – more than any other artist in the awards’ history.
Starting with the high-octane “Built for Speed” in 2002, Adam has enjoyed an unbroken string of No.1-charting ARIA Country Albums. 2020’s “Speed of Life” took out the No.6 spot on the overall ARIA Albums Chart, marking Adam’s sixth studio album to make the Top 10. As dozens of No.1 hit singles confirm, Adam ranks among the most successful Australian artists of all time.
A heartfelt love song for troubled times, “Still The One” is Adam Brand at his insightful, articulate best. It’s a healing balm, and a joyous celebration of constancy and resilience.

According to one of our recent Kix Poll we asked what is your 'must have album of 2017', and 38% of Kix listeners said it was Adam Brand's Get On Your Feet, which landed on shelves last Friday (10th Feb). The first single and title track is a song which every time you listen to it makes you want to, well, get on your feet. Mission accomplished I suppose. Recently, in an interview with KIXon Breaky with Crossy, Adam Brand said it's all about 2017 being a positive year. "This year feels like a real positive good year... And I want to kick it off with my album. I wanted it to be something positive and fun. Makes you want to get up and shake yourself around."
The song and the album have a more modern - you might say Nashville - sound about them and feels like a world away in some ways compared to when Brand first burst onto the scene almost 20 years ago.
"I feel that I got to reinvent myself a bit and change and evolve. Otherwise I’m gonna get bored." He laughs, "Not only bore me, but I don’t wanna bore the other people too"
"I don’t want you to hear it and go ‘oh yeah, sounds same old, like the other stuff.’ I want to think that this is new and fresh."
Some of the older and more traditional country fans might not particularly like the modern sound, Adam Brand thinks it is the way of the future. "It seems to be a natural progression for me."
"Spent a few years (in Nashville), signed there, living there. It feels like that’s were our music is going. I didn’t force the issue. I didn’t do anything that didn’t feel natural for me. I’ve always been on that rockier side of country and I think music and genre is growing and widening."
He spent a few years living in Nashville and even got the chance to tour with Taylor Swift, but does he have any plans to take on the US country scene again?
"Not really" he says. "I’m at the place where I just feel comfortable here. Home is where I want to be… nothing like a home town crowd."
"If something happens it happens, but I’m happy here... this is the best country in the world."
Get out and see Adam Brand play live on his huge national tour - with more dates set to be added - check them out at his Facebook page.
At Tamworth earlier this year, Adam Brand debut his Outlaws and they went on a whilewind national tour, that was hugely successful. The album itself has even earned itself a nomination for Country Album of the Year at the ARIA on Wednesday November 23. Whether it wins or not, it definitely goes down as one of the most successful Aussie albums of 2016.
Will Adam Brand take a break after a hectic 12 months... hell no. This is Adam Brand. He's got a new album coming out on February 10 and he's released the title track as the first single 'Get On Your Feet', and hands down it is amazing. Check it out.
For many guys and girls (mostly girls it seems) Kip Moore was one of the highlights at this years CMC Rocks Qld. When I spoke with him he mentioned that he wants to come back and that they are 'in talks' right now. Was he just saying this to be nice to his Aussie fans and offer us some hope of more Moore.
It turns out that he is definitely coming back judging by some recent Twitter comments. Not only that, it seems that our very own Adam Brand has struck up a bit of a friendship with Kip. Judging by the reply more or less confirms that Kip Moore will be back next year.
Just going to say it now, could this be the begining of a beautiful friendship. Maybe a collaboration. I could see Adam Brand and Kip Moore's style blending very well together. How about a new duo. 'The Outlaw and the Wild One'. That's got a certain ring to it.
